A Doccia (Ginori) white porcelain figure of a man furtively releasing a young wild boar from a sack, circa 1760. 12.3cm high.
Condition: There is a diagonal hairline crack across the base. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals flaring under the figure’s right foot, and some along the line under the base, but no flaring along it on the top of the base. It is possible that the base was broken and repaired, but if so, it is perhaps surprising that the figure’s right foot was not damaged. There were no other issues found.
