Measurements:
Cup: 6.2cm (2.4in) high
Saucer: 13.5cm (5.3in) diameter
Marks:
Saucer: Blue interlaced Ls. Painter’s mark most likely for Denis Levé. Date code ‘N’. Incised mark corresponding to the ‘b’ mark for the potter Bunel, though it would be early for them.
Cup: Black interlaced Ls. Date code ‘n’. Blue painter’s mark is indistinguishable. 4 dots in a line possibly indicate gilder.
Condition:
Cup: A tiny (2mm) faint interior vertical hairline from rim opposite the centre line of the handle (see images). A tiny indentation in the gilding on the top of the rim corresponds to this (see images). There is no colour variation under ultraviolet light, so we believe this is likely to be original. There are two small firing accretions (spots) in the interior.
Saucer: A few faint surface scratches and some tiny (original) glaze bubbles on the exterior.
Shipping: Free to most destinations worldwide. If your destination does not show free shipping, please inquire.
