The kabuto, in the Kōseizan style, consists of 12 lacquered steel slats.
The shikoro, four in number, are also made of lacquered steel and are finished in a creamy white.
The mabisashi (visor) and fukigaeshi (fins) are covered in fabric.
The fabric lining of the inner cap is original but has been restored.
One of the rivets securing the shikoro is not original.
The menpo, also of the Hōate type, is made of steel and features identical shikoro and lacing.
It is sold with a maedate (front ornament) of lacquered wood in a crescent shape.
The appropriate stand is included.
