English Silver Box With Fox Hunting Engravings, Circa 1900
This charming rectangular hinged box is made of silver, adorned with two miniature engravings of hunting scenes protected by glass and interchangeable via the back of the lid. One scene depicts a summer scene and the other a snowy landscape with horses and hounds.
The mount is hallmarked with a lion passant, a leopard's head, and the date letter "e" (London, 1900). It also bears the maker's mark LILtd of Stokes & Ireland, used between 1895 and 1915.
In perfect condition, London 1900.
