Japanese Samurai Armor Edo 18th Century

Gomai okegawa do type (5 vertical plates) in black lacquered iron and dark blue kon-ito odoshi lacing. The helmet has 32 lamellas topped with a 2-tiered gilt metal tehen in the shape of a chrysanthemum. The shikoro has five tiers ending in a fukigaeshi, decorated with tabane-ine mon (crest of bound rice stalks) used by the Kamei clan. The gilded wooden maedate is carved with a large flower. The ry?bu type menp? is forged in two detachable parts, with a pair of otayori no kubi (ankles) on the sides and another under the chin. It is chiseled with deep wrinkles and lacquered brown. The yodarekake has four tiers. The gomai okegawa tatehagi do is decorated with a tabane-ine mon in gilt lacquer. A large (2m10) cotton sashimono with a family crest is provided in black wood and mother-of-pearl inlays. A storage box with a lacquered leather lid, armor holder.
