Original steel engraving with a burin. Engraved by Tassin (Christophe), often mistakenly confused with Nicolas Tassin, he was in fact the King's engineer-geographer. Although his dates of birth and death are unknown, his activity was mainly in the years 1630-1640. He is best known for his collections of small maps and plans of France, appreciated for their precision and elegance. Hand-watercolored. Dimensions: Height 26.3 cm - Length 30.2 cm - Width Baguette: 1.6 cm, Condition: PERFECT CONDITION, Period: 1st HALF 17th century (Circa 1635), Frame: CURRENT - Aged gold bevel - Marie-Louise in light green wild evening - Old patinated gold fillet - Wooden baguette, gilded with leaf.
