This medallion depicts a small terrier-type dog—similar to the Old World Fox Terrier—lying on a rocky promontory in a bucolic landscape with a violet-tinged sky, wooded hills, and stylized vegetation. The rim is decorated with a geometric honeycomb frieze of hexagonal cells, each dotted with small mauve dots and florets, highlighted by gold lines running along the edges. Gold lines on the rim.
