" Late 17th Century Clock With Inlaid Wooden Case"
Elegant table clock with a walnut case and fruitwood inlays. The clock case opens on the front and sides with three glass doors, each with a small key, and on the back with a single wooden door. The dial is gilded bronze, with Roman and Arabic numerals marking the hours, while the movement chimes on the hours and half-hours. The movement was also reassembled, around the early 19th century, with a "parisian" chime. The case is exquisitely refined, featuring geometric and animal inlays, reminiscent of deer and oxen's heads, which lend it great elegance. Finally, the top is decorated in gilded bronze, as is the handle. This clock is an object of great taste and refinement, capable of furnishing any space with class. Roman manufacture, late 17th century, restored.
