Rather rare in this palette of acidulous shades, magnificent Armenian rug from the Caucasus. Armenia, most likely. Woven and knotted wool on wool in the traditional way. Very beautiful quality of wool, soft to the touch and almost silky. This aspect gives the plant shades a visual softness and a very beautiful luminosity. Certainly, the composition and the choice of patterns are typical of this region, however the ultra graphic and highly decorative dimensions of this kilim are exceptional.
