Victorian Tortoiseshell Piqué Pendant, Gold Inlay Floral Panel, C.1860

An oval Victorian piqué pendant: worked tortoiseshell inlaid with gold—central floral cluster within a dotted oval reserve and plain rim. Suspended from a later yellow-metal bail (unmarked). A charming small survivor of mid-Victorian piqué work.
Size & weight: body c. 3.5 × 2.5 cm (without bail); total weight 4 g.
Condition: good antique condition with honest wear; light scratches to the face, minor edge nicks; back with abrasion and small old adhesive/repair traces from earlier fittings; bail a later addition; all stable and wearable.
Legal note: Worked hawksbill tortoiseshell, pre-1947 antique. UK domestic sale permitted. Export outside the UK requires CITES permits; we can arrange the paperwork, with all permit and courier costs borne by the buyer.
