Victorian Bull's Eye Banded Agate Medallion, Gold, Diamond, 19th Century
This charming hinged keepsake locket is crafted in yellow gold. Shaped like a clover, it is set with three round cabochons of bull's-eye agate, the intersections adorned with repoussé and engraved gold clover motifs.
A rose-cut diamond graces the center. A ribbed triangular gold bail allows for hanging.
On the back, a hinged triangular compartment can hold a keepsake from a loved one.
Unmarked, it has been tested to 14 carats using a touchstone.
Note: Slight deformation and a notch to the cupule of the right-hand cabochon.
