"Clock Era Empire "fountain""
Empire period clock circa 1810, interesting with rich, finely chiseled
decorations in gilded bronze with mercury and gold. White marble
architecture representing a fountain whose brick-shaped central part
accommodates a magnificent lion's head from which water flows from its
mouth and pours into a basin, this fountain is highlighted by two
griffins distributed on each side. Adorned at the top of this fountain
is the domed white enamel dial accompanied by gold hands and
highlighted by a palmette outline. The dial is decorated with ram's
muzzles and at the top of a magnificent eagle with outstretched wings.
Large original mechanism without modification, wire suspension, hour
and half-hour strike on old bell.
