Clock In Bronze And Porcelain Palais Royal 1870
High manufacture, Napoleon III period clock in the Neo-classical style.Stamped on the plate of the mechanism "G. Philippe, Palais Royal 66 et67" watchmaker referenced in the Tardy, dictionary of watchmakers onthe date of 1870-1880.
Very beautiful architecture in gilded bronze on a claw foot, very soberfinely chiseled with Greek friezes and geometric shapes and embellishedwith a small golden chain on the facade. Embellished with verybeautiful porcelain, the dial featuring symbols of theater and music aswell as a magnificent vase made of bronze and porcelain decorated withgolden chains, portrait and a Greek frieze.
Original mechanism without modification, striking the hours and halfhours on an old bell.
