Clock Portico In Carrara Marble And Gilded Bronze Napoléon III
Elegant portico clock in the Louis XVI style and from the Napoleon III
period, circa 1860. Made of white Carrara marble, featuring two round
columns set with bases and capitals. High-quality gilt bronze
ornamentation, the upper part is adorned with pine cones and a vase
with handles.
Domed white enamel dial finely decorated with colored paint and garlands of flowers, time read by chiseled and gilded hands, protected by domed glass set in a guilloché bezel.
The space between the columns is highlighted by a wide garland of laurels and a beautiful sunburst pendulum.
Original mechanism without modification. Striking on the hours and half-hour on an antique bell.
Stamped on the dial "Henry Boucher à Bléré," likely the name of the seller of this clock.
