Clock In Marble And Gilded Bronze Gauthier Fils
This neoclassical-style clock, dating from the Napoleonic III era, is
signed by the clockmaker "Gauthier fils à Villefranche". It
features a beautiful blue-green marble base and case, with a clock face
whose numerals are engraved and gilded. The top is adorned with a
finely crafted, cylindrical urn with handles. The clock is embellished
with finely chased, gilded bronze ornamentation.
The original mechanism remains unmodified. It strikes the hours and half-hours on an antique bell.
