"Antique Persian Bakhtiari Tribal Rug, Hand-knotted Wool, Early 20th Century"
A striking antique Persian rug attributed to the Bakhtiari tribe, crafted in the mountainous region of southwestern Iran during the early 20th century. The design features a bold central medallion set against a deep blue field, framed by stylized floral and leaf motifs arranged in symmetrical patterns. The main border displays a continuous floral motif with rhythmic color variation. Entirely hand-knotted in wool (including the foundation), with a robust symmetric knot. Natural dyes retain excellent saturation. Overall in very good condition.
