Vicenza Trio In Palm Wood And Cherrywood, Empire Period – Early 19th Century

Elegant three-piece set consisting of a chest of drawers and two nightstands, crafted in Vicenza in the very early 19th century, during the Empire period. These pieces stand out for the refined use of so-called “palm wood” – a cabinetmaking technique typical of the Vicenza area and inspired by French craftsmanship – combined with cherrywood. This mix of materials gives the ensemble a surprisingly modern feel for its time.
The chest features a clean and elegant structure, with a slightly convex central front and high sabre legs (27 cm), subtly tapered with a hint of fluting. It includes four drawers: two smaller upper ones and two larger lower ones. The nightstands reflect the same design language, each with a drawer and a door.

Carefully restored while preserving the original patina, these furnishings are in excellent condition. The chest retains its original handles, while the nightstands' hardware may have been replaced.
