Minerva hallmark and partly erased silversmith’s hallmark surmounted by the words “BOIN TABURET/A PARIS”.
A second silver-plated metal element fits into the vase and can also be turned over and placed on top of it to cover it. It has a square hallmark on the bottom and the words “BOIN TABURET/A PARIS”.
Maison Boin-Taburet was founded in 1860 by Georges Boin and Emile Taburet. They mainly produce jewelry as well as display objects and tableware inspired by the 17th and 18th centuries. In 1878 they won a bronze medal at the Universal Exhibition, then a gold medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1889. The two men worked together until 1900, when Georges Boin joined forces with the goldsmith Henry, changing the company name to “Boin et Henry orfèvres”.
