Solid silver goblet bearing the monogram of King Gustav V of Sweden—Early 20th century
A slightly flared, truncated-cone-shaped silver goblet. It rests on a circular pedestal adorned with radiating gadroons. The upper rim is accented by a beaded frieze. The body is adorned with the king’s monogram, intertwined and crowned, in relief and enhanced with turquoise blue and red enamel.
This goblet may have been given as a diplomatic or official gift, an honorary present, or a commemorative item.
