Crystal And Silver-plated Metal Cheese Box, Early 20th Century
A very beautiful early 20th-century crystal and silver-plated cheese box and saucer. The round crystal box, engraved with a large Greek key pattern, rests on a saucer with the same design, finished with a beaded silver-plated metal band. It has a crystal lid decorated identically, with a silver-plated metal handle depicting a cow in a meadow. Box dimensions: height: 7 cm / base diameter: 8 cm / top diameter: 11 cm. Saucer diameter: 17.5 cm. A very elegant piece of crystalwork, with an original shape, an amusing subject, and multiple uses. No signature or hallmark. Note: a few small scratches on the base which do not detract from the beauty of the piece.
