Tiny charming COQUEMAR in beaten copper with a shoulder shape, formed pouring spout, lid called "gendarme hat" and rolled thumb. It rests on three high riveted feet in wrought iron with triangular bases. The edge of the throat is rolled and the crenellated assemblies called "wolf teeth" are brazed with brass.
The interior is tinned.
Initials of ownership or of the coppersmith stamped on the base: II
Height: 15.2 cm
SWITZERLAND or SOUTH-EAST FRANCE, circa 1800
This is most likely a very rare piece of mastery or a "feat" of coppersmithing.
These reductions are also observed in other trades, of which the tiny chests of drawers or small staircases of mastery of carpentry or cabinetmaking are examples.
Bibliography: "La dinanderie" by Roger Verdier
In very good condition, some very tiny dents are noted on the shoulder and visible on the photographs
