The sculpture shows clear signs of exposure to intense heat, possibly due to a fire: the gesso surface exhibits porosity and swelling, typical of thermal alterations. The right arm, from shoulder to elbow, has been reconstructed using a fabric structure coated with gesso, an intervention that, while not original, integrates harmoniously with the rest of the piece. Despite these signs of aging, the sculpture retains a strong scenic presence and bears witness to the popular devotion and craftsmanship of the period. We ship worldwide.
