Elegant French display cabinet from the Napoleon III period, made of solid mahogany and richly decorated with finely chased gilt bronze mounts.
The upper section features a “griotte rouge” marble top framed by a pierced gilt bronze gallery.The uprights and frames are adorned with neoclassical ornaments, rosettes, acanthus leaves and palmettes.The blown glass panes and mirrors are original.Inside are three glass shelves, two showing minor chips along the edges.The velvet-lined back panel is removable, allowing easy replacement of the fabric.
