Large & Beautiful 17th Century Baroque Canvas...italian School...portrait Of A Saint

Large & beautiful biblical canvas which dates a priori from the 17th century and which represents the portrait of a young Saint wearing a scarf... The painting does not seem signed but everything in its beautiful quality indicates the presence of an excellent artist and certainly an Italian baroque painter of the end of the Renaissance: there is indeed in this work a subtle mixture between the chiaroscuro effect which suggests the influence of Caravaggio, and a relative softness in the expression of the face which recalls certain Madonnas of Florentine art.. note: this canvas has never been examined by an expert but it would deserve investigations to try to identify the artist, or at least obtain an attribution... - note that the shots show a difference in tone due to the fact that some are taken in full light and others against the light - Canvas size: 53.5 cm x 43.5 cm - plan a restoration for some missing parts here and there, quite basic to correct / ask me for other shots if necessary -
