Artifacts Amphorae Unguentarium Terracotta Greece

Lot of three Greek amphorae without handles, or fusiform vials intended to preserve perfumed oils during Antiquity.
The Unguentarium is a very deep and elongated terracotta vase, with a very narrow truncated cone-shaped neck in the shape of a trumpet and a tapered body. The collar, high and not very thick, is less wide at the neck than at the neck. The body ends with a flat-bottomed foot, very narrow stretched in length. We can see the turning striations on the edge of the vase, a vestige of the craftsman's work on the clay before firing.

Length: 15 to 20 cm.

Uncommon artifacts. From an old private collection of a collector of antique objects.

Note: the neck is missing on one of the vials.
