Antique Georgian Sterling Silver Two Handled Sugar Bowl / Porringer, Peaston, 1761
Beautiful Georgian sterling silver porringer featuring a cylindrical form with a flared rim, adorned with leaf-punched motifs above and below a ropetwist girdle. The lower body is decorated with part-fluted and lobed hand-chased scroll designs, complemented by a foliate vacant cartouche to the front, surrounded by intricate floral details. The porringer is completed with scroll handles and rests on a spreading circular foot.
