Carved Wooden Putto, Angel, Puy En Velay Region, Early 18th Century
Putto in carved natural wood from the Puy en Velay region, early 18th century. Very beautiful subject magnificently treated by the artist. This putto with thick curls and a face with soft features is reminiscent of the angels with regular faces and often tinged with melancholy by Gervais Delabarre in the middle of the 17th century. Our sculpture is in good used condition, small losses and wear are naturally present on the whole object.
