Louis XIV Marquetry Chest Of Drawers, Alsace Or Rhine Valley, Hache Style

Rare Louis XIV chest of drawers opening on the front with five drawers on four rows, in marquetry of fruit and native woods, Alsace or Rhine Valley, period late 17th / Early 18th century. Composed of a softwood frame typical of this furniture, our chest of drawers presents a remarkable work of curling of walnut, plum, maple and burled wood finely worked in interlacing and decorated with polylobed diamonds. The top is molded in bec de corbin. The front and rear uprights present an elegant work in projection. The whole rests on four ball feet. We note small losses at the back of the two rear feet, not visible from the front or profile and without any impact on the structure of the furniture. The handles are later. A key operates the locks of the two small drawers at the top. Furniture in very good condition, superb patina very shiny.
