Diane Au Bain, Statue De Jardin, Reconstituted Stone, After Falconet ( 1716-1791) , 20th Century
Very elegant garden statue in reconstituted stone based on the sculpture "Diane au Bain" by Etienne Maurice Falconet ( 1716-1791).
This statue was made in the second half of the 20th century. It is in good condition, but has a few defects specific to its mode of manufacture (in particular, small honeycombed hollows in the hair / see photos) and some rework (on the neck).
This superb decorative element adorned the winter garden of its former owners and has never been exposed to the elements, so the statue has not been altered by the vagaries of the weather.
