Atypical and rare Katana from the Showa period with its Mumei blade (unsigned) with double grooves and its Koshirae.

This Katana blade is very well preserved, without any particular forging defect, but with some small oxidation spots and 3 scratches (see photos).

The Koshirae is composed of a modern Saya and a modern Tsuka. The Tsuba and the Menuki are, for their part, from the Edo period.

Period: Showa (1926-1989)

Condition: Very good general condition of the sword. Very beautiful polishing Japan.
Defects: Some oxidation spots in the middle of the blade and on the Kissaki as well as 3 scratches on the Shinogi, at the level of the Habaki on the Ura side

KOSHIRAE:


Tsuka: Length: 25 cm - Type of braiding: Hineri-maki in black Japanese natural silk. With a very beautiful Same with Oya-tsubo (emperor nodule) Tsuba: Type: Maru-gata (round) In Sukashi (Openwork) - Old - Material: iron - Period: Edo (18th century). The Tsuba is mounted with 2 copper Seppa and 2 leather Seppa to compensate for the play.
Fuchi/Kashira - Period: 18th
Habaki: Gold plated
2 Menuki: With animal patterns - Edo period
Saya: Modern - Color: Black with a ray skin insert (there was an addition) and a Sageo in black Japanese silk braided in Ronin Musubi.
The Kojiri is metallic, the Koiguchi is made of buffalo horn.
