Face (Obverse): The Ritual
- The Subject : A Sennin (hermit immortal) figured in a state of ascetic trance. He is represented barefoot, symbolizing his renunciation of the material world.
The Detail Rare: The character is captured in a precise action: chewing or expressing through the mouth mouth a sacred element (an incantation, amulet or plant of immortality), a powerful and uncommon iconographic detail.
Fusion Natural: Her leafy garment is chiseled with the same texture as the flowering tree that shelters it, illustrating the total fusion of the being with its environment.
Incrustations : Gold rehauts on the garment and the tree, underscoring the spiritual dimension of the scene.
- The Companion: A mystical toad is depicted in relief, leaping into a water suggested by aquatic plants.
