Green Tara (Śyāmatārā) seated in lalitasana on a double lotus base, the left hand in vitarkamudra and the right hand in varadamudra, both arms surrounded by flowering lotuses, adorned with jewelry, face with a gentle smile, topped with a tiara leafy, hair in a conical bun. Tara is a female bodhisattva in Tibetan Buddhism, the personification of compassion and mercy, considered the wife of the bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara.
