Important and rare clock in lacquered and gilded carved wood signed and dated by C.de LeMoine, Paris 1778, 18th century. The clock that we present is a rare model carved in wood, decorated with large acanthus leaves in gilded wood on the sides, and provided on the facade with consoles also carved with foliage. A frieze on the richly carved base, resting on four gilded feet in the shape of a spinning top. A curious pyramid at the top completes the decor. Its gilded bronze dial surrounded by finely carved flowers at the four corners. Wire movement. Missing the rear glass and small crack in the frame. Private collection, always remained in the same family. Dimensions l.45 cm x h.44 cm x p.22 cm.
