Corner Console And Its Polychrome Mirror, Louis XVI Period, 18th Century, Italy.
Exceptional polychrome wooden corner console decorated with acanthus leaves and pine cones, resting on two curved front legs connected by a carved crotch crosspiece. It is surmounted by a mercury corner mirror decorated with a large wooden pediment carved with flowers, scrolls, acanthus leaves and laurel garlands. The frame of the mirror is carved with pearls characteristic of the Louis XVI style. From a large Italian residence, original furniture from northern Italy. Private collection. In very good condition (missing a small volute and a gilded ring on the pediment). Console from the Louis XVI period, 18th century, circa 1780. Dimensions: h.259 cm x l.85 cm x p.43 cm.
