Beautiful and rare Martini-Henry system rifle by a very reputable manufacturer in the UK. The upper barrel band is flat and anti-reflective with the maker's name 'EM REILLY & Co. 16 NEW OXFORD STREET. LONDON”. Some British hallmarks are visible on the weapon as well as its caliber on the left side of the barrel which is .320 CF, a Kynoch brand 320 LONG cartridge is housed in it. This rifle is very light, easy to handle, has a cocking indicator and functions perfectly. The inside of the barrel is mirror and bears beautiful Henry stripes. The case, trigger guard and lever are decorated with handmade engravings and are of high quality, we find "MARTINI'S PATENT" in an oval on the left side of the case. This copy is extremely rare, because it also bears an encoding number (17 221) which proves production at the end of 1871 (It is one of the first Martinis put on the civilian market by EM REILLY, possibly one first in the world!).
