TOPPAI JINGASA EDO PERIOD 19TH CENTURY - JAPAN Jingasa, conical shaped Samurai headdress called "Toppai Jingasa" in wood covered with black lacquer inside and outside and is provided with two geometric kamons lacquered in gold. This badge is used in particular by Kamakura Shogunate, Clan Miura, Takeda Shingen, Daito-ryu Aiki-jujutsu school. In good condition for the age, some chips of lacquer at the top and at the ends of the helmet. The interior with “zabuton”, a protective cushion for the head then a chin bar, known as “ago-himo”.
