Westley Richards Improved Martini model 1869 Cal No. 2 Musket Barrel: 84 cm Stock: 35.5 cm Total length: 126 cm Weight: 4.8 kg Very nice falling block rifle called 'improved martini', the precedent of the famous henry martini which was adopted by the British military in 1871. Heavy barrel of tobacco color patina with Henry Patent scratches, the inside of the barrel is in excellent condition the scratches are deep with no trace of corrosion. The barrel has been changed, more modern PN punches. The case with beautiful engravings, it bears British hallmarks and is equipped with a manual safety on the right, a lever which blocks the trigger. On the back of the case is inscribed 'WESTLEY RICHARDS PATENT'. English varnished walnut stock with checkering in excellent condition. Forend with Buffalo horn tip. The springs of the lever are located below the forend, Nice job. This rifle is equipped with a tunnel front sight and sold with two inserts, fixed rise with two sheets regulated in 100, 200 and 300 yards. The diopter is included in a separate box as well as 20 No.2 musket caliber blank ammunition. Additional information (in English) for loading and firing this historic weapon. There are loading details and it will be necessary to have a set of tools in 577/450 to push the sleeve back 2mm to be able to chamber it. Already fired cartridge cases do not need to be modified.
