Jingasa - Ichimon-gasa Edo Period 19th Century - Japan
Jingasa, flat-shaped wooden samurai headdress, the exterior covered with black lacquer depicting a kamon in brown, a Japanese heraldic badge. The end of the helmet also painted in brown, the interior in red. In very good condition for the age, a few small chips at the ends, without breakage. The Zabuton, a protective cushion for the head and also the chin bar, called ago-himo is present. Diameter: 33 cm Height: 5 cm Reference S1859
