The rifle is in very good overall condition for its age. The wood is in very good general condition despite slight traces of handling, without breaks or cracks. The barrel and case with a very nice original blue finish at 95%. No Manufacture D'armes St. Etienne and MLE 1874 signature on the rifle. Appears to be made without marking. Serial number 24 178 on the cylinder head. The inside of the barrel with nice scratches and seems to have little use. The action works perfectly, solid and without play. Original folding and adjustable front sight and rise. Sold with the strap and fasteners. Original steel ramrod. Beautiful rifle for the collector or shooter of old weapons. - Ref: s4393
