"Gendarme Pistol, Model 1822, 19th Century."
A very fine percussion-fired Gendarmerie pistol from the 1830s. The walnut stock has a strongly curved profile, typical of cavalry and gendarmerie pistols. The brass mount (ring and barrel) conforms to French military models. It features a percussion lock and a short, thick, round barrel, typical of a service pistol rather than a dueling pistol. It strongly resembles a Model 1822T Gendarmerie pistol. Dimensions: Length: 35 cm; Barrel length: 20 cm; Weight: 1.2 kg.
