Round barrel with rifled bore, blue finish.
Steel frame engraved with foliage, nickel-plated finish, serial number ‘3173’ and marked ‘PL Breveté SGDG’ on the underside.
Chequered trigger, stamped ‘2172’ and monogrammed ‘V’ on the inside.
Steel grip plates with blue finish.
Bail ring.
Seven-shot semi-automatic system.

Invented by Jacques Rouchouse in 1889.
Around 1890, Jacques Rouchouse succeeded Juste Escoffier as head of his armoury located at 7, rue Villeboeuf, in Saint-Étienne. Juste Escoffier was the son of Félix Escoffier, former entrepreneur of the Saint-Étienne Arms Factory.
