Body covered with a scarlet dyed fine broadcloth sleeve, bordered at the top with a black wool braid woven "cul de dé", H 1.7 cm, with black wool cord on each side and at the back. In the lower part is glued a black patent leather bourdalou 3 cm high. H of the shako at the front 15 cm, H at the back 19.7 cm. Black waxed cap, diameter 13 cm. Visor in black waxed leather with green waxed interior, width at its center 5.4 cm. On the front, a half-bell button in silver metal is fixed in the center of a tricolor lacquered metal cockade with a braid composed of a double cord of dark blue wool wrapping around the button, diameter of the cockade 4.3 cm , diameter of the button 2 cm, width of the cord 2.3 cm and H 6 cm. Inner cap in black waxed leather cut into seven wolf teeth. Plumet in scarlet drooping horsehair with braided olive pompom in scarlet cord, mounted on a steel stay. H total 20 cm. France. Second Empire. Good condition, a slight lack in the bourdalou, a dozen small moth holes in the sheet of the barrel.
