Giselle Ferrandier : "vineyards In The Crepuscule" flag

Object description :

"Giselle Ferrandier : "vineyards In The Crepuscule""
Gisèle FERRANDIER was born in 1909 and lived more than a century.
Close to these artists who were called "poetic reality" or "Children of Matisse", such Brianchon, Oudot, Cavaillès, Planson or Legueult which she owned works, she was never officially part of the group and their exhibitions, victim perhaps of being a woman (disability in the art world at the time and sometimes even today !) And especially of his many trips which she reported many paintings whose style evolved gradually from a "classical" 1930 to abstraction, passing through these flamboyant colors serving for example his landscapes of Morocco, Spain or the South or his dazzling still lifes.
Her works are present in many museums and major collections and she was crowned with a retrospective exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art of the City of Paris in 1970.
Here, this oil with shimmering colors and worked material is painted on a sign of éverite (very heavy !) 100 X73 cm, is titled "Vines at dusk" (why not, with the eyes of faith? !!) and is dressed in a sobre frame of raw oak 112 X 85 cm .
Titled and signed on a label on the back, bears the stamp of the signature lower right and back.
Modern without aggressiveness, extremely decorative.
