French School 1900 : "The Bun", pastel 55 X 46 cm remounted in its beautiful period gilded sandblasted frame 78 X 68cm (some rubbing) by a "museum" mounting, pH neutral and fungicide.
This delightful pastel chooses an atypical approach to make a 3/4 rear portrait and turned in profile standing out against a window overlooking the sea in a Hellenistic landscape, thus highlighting the neck and the bun.
The signature having been partially erased (during the war? During an inheritance?), only the first name, Anne, an initial, "N" or "V", and the date 1900 remain.
