Three men join by boat the ships that anchor in deeper water.
A tireless traveler, Achille Fouquier brought back from his many travels sketches, anecdotes, observations collected in several books that were published.
Whether from the Basque Country (he was mayor of Saint-Jean-de-Luz), Italy, Greece, the Balkans or the Middle East, his drawings taken from life are the testimony of the history of these regions.
