17th century Spain: “Christ on the cross”, polychrome wood approximately 29 cm high. Despite numerous accidents and a polychromy amply taken up (!), this Christ shows a beautiful interiority in its twisting movement under pain. The crown of thorns must have been in another material and has disappeared, as well as the right part of the perizonium and the arms.
