"Navy Cannon Model Coming From A Collection"
It is a canon model, which comes from a collection, mainly of Marine cannons , which all together have one particularity in common: They were designed to be able to fire really !The collector belonged to an association of artillery enthusiasts who liked to "make talk" their model cannons.
The tube is in bronze, it takes the shape of the massive 30-pound marine cannon (1820-1840) which was used to defend the fortresses of the coast.
Of course, the light in the chamber is pierced. Tube length 10.7 cm, caliber = about 8 mm
The cannon is connected to the wood by two iron brackets.
The carriage is made of solid wood.
