Beautiful Hexagonal Stand, Wood: Carved Hongmu & Dream Stone, China, Late 19th Century

In the same style as another piece you’ll find in my proantic gallery… A lovely hexagonal stand made of wood with a central stone. The legs and edges are carved with Greek fretwork and garlands of stylized leaves. Six legs joined by a hexagonal crossbar at the base, enhanced by small protective feet on the underside, which were added later.
The central stone seems to evoke a dreamstone, where a landscape appears to take shape. 
Ideal for a round pot (see last photo).
In good overall condition; one leg is slightly chipped at the base; two tiny chips—one in the wood and one in the stone; the top wobbles very slightly. A few minor scratches, nothing serious.
Asian piece, most likely from China or Vietnam, dating from the late 19th century or very early 20th century, circa 1900.
Dimensions: 84 cm H x 32.5 cm.

Shipped via carrier. I work with two of them—both very reliable and very affordable. However, I can handle delivery myself if the destination is within the northern limits of Clermont-Ferrand. I can therefore deliver myself throughout the south of France and work with you to find the best arrangement for purchasing the armchairs. ​​​​​​
