Nice Notebook Or Menu Holder , Maison Clayes, San Francisco, 19thc Embroidered Chinese Silk

Very pretty cover for a dance card or a menu, or other use. The core, probably cardboard is covered on the outside with an old Chinese silk, 19th century in my opinion. Red background with floral borders and geographical patterns, and a large medallion with antiques and flowered planters in high relief, outlines in gold or copper thread. The interior is lined with a silk with a more Western decoration, ribbon knots, with two compartments in black and gold silk, allowing to hold or hang things or documents.. Perhaps a "Ladie's Companion"! The upper part is decorated with a silk ribbon on which are threaded some glass beads of different colors.. Label inside from Maison Clayes in San Francisco.
Good general condition, I still noted a few rebellious threads, clearly visible in my detailed photos, thank you for looking at them carefully, I am not hiding anything!
Chinese working probably, sold by the Clayes house in the United States during the Art Nouveau period, Circa 1890-1920.
