2 Framed Engravings, N. De l'Armessin, Les Rois De France, Louis 13, Henry 4, Early 18th C
Artist: Nicolas De L'armessin
Nicely framed in a later wood and gilded stucco frames... Here are 2 beautiful etchings and burin engravings, from the Kings of France serial. Louis 13 and Henry 4 in this case, a portrait in a stylized medallion, a historical description of each, their coat of arms, and of course, the Roy's privilege and the engraver's mention: À Paris, chez L'armessin, Rue St Jacques, à la pomme d'or, proche Séverin.
Very good condition of the engravings, the frame shows some missing gilded stucco, clearly visible on my detailed photos, please look at them carefully, I'm not hiding anything!
French working, dating from the first part of the 18th century, or slightly earlier. The original engravings date from 1690. It's possible for those, but I'm not getting ahead of myself!
